There is nothing as impacting as seeing the work firsthand, meeting the children, hearing the stories, and giving your time and skills to serve these incredible projects. The Foundation organises annual Impact trips to the countries where we have involvement. The purpose of the trips is to provide a link between the projects the Foundation is partnering with and people who wish to understand and respond to the needs of the children. These short-term, self-funded trips are incredibly impacting, not only for the children and workers in the projects, but also for the people who go. Specific Field trips are conducted as needs are identified within the projects, giving the relevant professionals and tradespeople an opportunity to volunteer their time in a fantastic labour of love. All applicants for any trip go through an application process which includes an interview and require a National Police Clearance, as well as references. The Foundation has opportunities for trades people and teachers to work in Cambodia in January 2011 over a two-week period. The trades team will work on various small building projects and the teaching team will work with Hagar to conduct training for local teachers. If you'd like to use your skills and expertise to benefit the organisation's we are partnering with, then we'd love to hear from you.
