2011 Calendar & Gift of Hope Catalogue

We're excited to announce the launch of our first calendar and gift catalogue for 2011.

The A4 calendars feature beautiful photos of children taken by people during the Impact Trips. They look fantastic and make great Christmas gifts for family or friends. They are $14.95 and can be ordered through the Foundation or the Riverview Bookstore.

We have also produced a Gift of Hope catalogue for people wanting to give a different and meaningful gift to their loved ones, whilst also helping children in need. The catalogue includes 15 gifts that are part of the life-changing work of our in-country project partners.

Download the Gift of Hope catalogue and have a browse.

YES WEEK!

We’re very proud of the Riverview Young Adults who put their faith into action by participating in YES WEEK! last month.Over 55 young adults signed up to raise awareness about the issue of child prostitution and to raise funds for the amazing work of Hagar Cambodia, in rehabilitating child victims of sex trafficking.

YES WEEK! is a collaborative fundraising campaign between Riverview Young Adults and the Foundation, which involved the participants raising awareness and asking people for a donation with a dare.

The idea of 'Saying YES to Saying NO to child prostitution' took off and dares included everything from wearing pyjamas to work, to guys and girls shaving their hair, singing to strangers and wearing all types of weird and wonderfuldresses for a day, it was mass embarrassment all round...all for such an important cause!

Thanks to everyone involved over $12,000 was raised as part of the fight against child trafficking!

Hope for Forgotten Children in Ukraine

In Ukraine, we’re partnering with the House of Life, a wonderful project that works within a state-run hospital and provides 24-hour care for babies and toddlers without parental care – because of abuse, neglect or abandonment.

The centre is equipped to provide everything necessary for the children’s physical, psychological and emotional development in an atmosphere that resembles a home as much as possible. The House of Life works with the state social services department to find longer-term care solutions for the children and to advocate on behalf of their rights.

Thanks to your support, the Foundation is able to fund the caregivers who support the children and has also recently funded a new playground.
